TEXT: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Rom 1:16)
Still on how to stir the Power of God in you to produce the desired results, we shall look at one very important but, the most neglected channels through which the Power of God in us can flow. Gospel is the power of God unto salvation and it is one major way to stir the Power of God in our life. The power of the tongue as discussed yesterday, coupled with the power of the gospel makes you unbeatable in any conflict.
What this means is, your tongue has inbuilt power and when you preach the gospel that has the power unto salvation, you are emitting double power against the assaults of the devil. When you proclaim the gospel with your tongue, the power of the gospel mixes with the power of your tongue, and you become a danger to the kingdom of darkness.
Beloved, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ is essential to walking in Power. Apostle Paul understood this when he said, ‘I am compelled to preach the Gospel, and I would be in trouble if I didn’t!’ (1Cor 9:16 – paraphrase). The truth is, our spiritual Power is directly tied to our willingness to share the gospel. As Acts 1:8 says, ‘We shall receive power and we shall become witnesses for Jesus.’
Dear MTDians, it is time we arise and proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in our offices, classrooms, shops, market place, among our friends, on social media, etc. This is one of the ways we can demonstrate the power of God in our lives. It is time you let that person know that Jesus has solution to his/her untold hardship. Sharing the gospel with every opportunity you have is gainful. Bishop Oyedepo said: “Don’t be shameful of what is gainful.” Grace to proclaim the gospel unashamedly is yours from today, in Jesus name.
