THE POWER OF EXPECTATION

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off” (Prov 23:18)

SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE:
“And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them” (Acts 3:4-5)

Expectation is one of the greatest forces in the life of a believer. It is the confident anticipation that what God has promised will surely come to pass. Faith believes God’s Word, but expectation eagerly waits to see the performance of the Word. Many people receive promises from God but never see their manifestation because they lack the expectation that positions us to receive from God.

Expectation matters greatly in this season of Divine Manifestation. It sets the atmosphere for miracles, just as the lame man at the Beautiful Gate looked at Peter and John expecting to receive something, and he received more than he could imagined. Expectation keeps hope alive during seasons of waiting. Without it, delay produces discouragement, but with it, delay becomes preparation – hallelujah!

However, expectation can be weakened by doubt, unbelief, or weariness in waiting. To keep it alive therefore, we must hold firmly to God’s Word, pray with anticipation, surround ourselves with faith-filled words, and act in line with what we expect. Hannah expected and received Samuel, the woman with the issue of blood expected and received her healing, and Elijah expected rain even before the clouds appeared and rain came.

Beloved, manifestation does not happen in a vacuum, it is drawn by expectation. God is too faithful to fail and too consistent to lie. Keep your spirit expectant, because what He has spoken, He will bring to pass, and your expectation shall not be cut off.

PROPHETIC PRAYER:
I decree, every delay in your life is giving way to speedy manifestation, in Jesus name.
