TEXT: “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole” (Luke 17:15/19)

  • PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life into a better one, in Jesus name – Amen.”

Let me start by saying that thanksgiving facilitates the completion of God’s blessings in our lives. The leper who returned to give thanks in verse 15 of the above anchor scripture was made whole in verse 19.

Appreciation is an application for more. But what is thanksgiving?

  1. Thanksgiving is recognising God behind every good thing in your life. Nothing good happens without God. Your skills, connections, charisma, promotions, etc., are all direct acts of God in your life. You need to recognise this and give Him thanks.
  2. Thanksgiving is appreciating God for expected blessings. In today’s anchor scripture, Abraham was glorifying God for the yet-unborn Isaac, and Isaac was born 25 years after the promise. The Bible says: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Rom 4:20). Have you been expecting your own “Isaac” since January? Thanksgiving can enforce its delivery this month.

Your expectations for 2024 will still manifest because, we serve the 11th-hour miracle God. I encourage you to spend quality time to thank God this month, and you will see the manifestation of what you never asked for.

PROPHETIC PRAYER: I decree the release of your hanging blessings today, in Jesus name!

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Thanksgiving is appreciating God for expected blessings.”
