TEXT: “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy” (Matt 5:7)

Let me reiterate that it is not enough to know how to obtain favour from the Lord, it is equally important to know how to sustain it. If obtaining God’s favour is a blessing, we must be determined in our quest to know how to sustain it. It takes a continous growth in our relationship with God to sustain His favour in our life. This is why we started to examine how to sustain God’s favour since on Tuesday 21st.

Today, I will like you to know that if you will sustain God’s favour on your life, you must understand the principle of sowing and reaping. The future of everything is in a seed. Kindness received today is an harvest of the seed of kindness sown yesterday. You will always reap what you sow. To sustain God’s favour on your life, sow a seed of favour to someone every time you have the opportunity.

The Bible says: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Gal 6:7).

Favour is a seed that you can sow into the life of another person. Also, favour can come to you as a result of a good service rendered. Be aware that you will always be remembered for the impact you have made in people’s life. When you sow finances into the work of God for instance, you will reap and continue to reap a harvest of God’s favour and provision on your finances (Psalm 102:13-15).

Favour always begins when you solve a problem for someone. For instance, Joseph interpreted a dream for the butler. Two years later, his gift made room for him in the palace (Gen 41:42-44). The oil of favour flows when you solve the problem nearest to you. You will succeed in life when the hurts of others matter to you. Take note of this: “You may not be sent to everyone, but definitely you’re sent to someone per time.” The favour of God will meet you at the place where God has sent you. So, I encourage you to sow seeds of favour today and you will continue to reap the harvest of God’s favour.

PRAYER: Your seed will speak for you today, this month and onwards, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “You may not be sent to everyone, but definitely you’re sent to someone per time.”
