TEXT: “Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side” (Matt 13:18-19)
Supernatural Increase is a product of seeds sown. This cannot be overemphasised. However, not all the seeds sown that has what it takes to bring forth harvest. Jesus pointed out in the above chapter of the Bible why this is so. In this chapter of the Bible, Jesus pointed out four categories of people who by virtue of who they are and what they do determines the returns on their seeds. The first set of people mentioned in today’s anchor scripture are the people that sow their seeds without understanding. Dear MTDians, understanding is what makes what you do in this kingdom of God a delight. You need to give/sow your seed with understanding if you don’t want to lose your harvest.
Giving with understanding is what differentiate the giving of Abel from that of Cain (Read Gen 4). Cain lacked the understanding of what to give to God unlike abel. When a man lacks the understanding of what to give, how it should be given, where to give it and who to give it to, the devil easily comes to steal the word of God on giving from his heart and if care is not taken, he considers giving as unnecessary. Beloved, it is one of the tricks of the devil to keep you in one spot financially.
Please, don’t be a ‘wayside believer’ if you will enjoy supernatural increase. Take time to search the scripture to secure understanding on giving. It is the understanding you receive from searching the scripture that makes your giving a delight. Don’t be cajoled, pushed or coarse to give to God because if there be first a willing mind, then your giving is acceptable (2Cor 8:12). Willingness to give to God is a product of understanding you receive from His word.
PRAYER: I pray for you that by virtue of your giving, bumper harvest shall flood your life from today, in Jesus name.
