TEXT: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” (Matt 18:19)
There are secrets to speedy answers to prayer. I encourage you to put to work all the secrets that the Holy Spirit has revealed since the beginning of the month. What you do with these secrets is what determines the outcome of your prayer.
Another secret to answered prayers I want us to examine today is “Prayer of Agreement.” That stubborn situation in your life right now may just require the agreement of another person to backoff forever. The lion is the king of the jungle but no single lion can overcome a rhino in the jungle, it takes the company of two or more lions to accomplish that. So also, there are Rhino size of situations in life that requires the company of two or more people in prayer to overcome. Where two or three are gathered together in prayer of agreement, God is there and no situation can withstand God’s Presence (Matt 18:20).
The Bible says “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up” (Eccl 4:9-10). When you’re alone in the battle of life, you might be defeated. It takes two or more people in agreement with you to win. So, be humbled enough to share your challenges with one or two trusted fellows who will lift your hand in prayers the way Aaron and Hur held the hands of Moses in battle (Ex 17:12).
PRAYER: You shall not be defeated in life, in Jesus name.
