REWARDS OF THANKSGIVING – Pt 2

TEXT: “Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us” (Psalm 67:5-6)

  • PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life into a better one, in Jesus name – Amen.”

Cultivating a lifestyle of thanksgiving has numerous rewards. Yesterday, we mentioned Progress as one of the rewards. Another reward is:

  • SUPERNATURAL INCREASE. Most times, our smallness in life can be traceable to a lack of thanksgiving on our part. The Bible says: “Out of them shall proceed thanksgiving, and the voice of them that make merry; I will multiply them, they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, they shall not be small” (Jer. 30:19).

Until you are grateful for the little you have, it will not increase. Until you thank God for the little you have, you cannot be elevated above it. When you thank God for the five loaves of bread, rather than saying, “What is this among so many?” then He will give you the capacity to feed the five thousand with them.

You may not be where you want to be, but you are certainly not where you used to be. Thank God for His intervention on your behalf, and He will perfect what He has started in your life. While the disciples were complaining about the five loaves of bread and two fishes, Jesus took them, gave thanks, and they multiplied. Nothing dies in the hands of a thankful person. The reason some people are not seeing the reality of increase is that they have not added genuine thanksgiving to what they are doing.

I encourage you to set aside a few minutes each day from now to praise and thank God for everything in your life. I see God’s supernatural Hand coming heavily upon you as you do so, in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER: You shall enjoy strange order of increase by your thanksgiving this season, in Jesus name.
