ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matt 6:3-4 NIV)
I want to start by saying that God values the things we do for Him that are hidden from the eyes of men. Many times, what truly pleases God is not the loud service but the unseen sacrifices, the quiet acts of obedience, and the help we render without any announcement. Jesus taught us in today’s anchor scripture that when we give, pray, or fast in secret, the Father who sees in secret will surely reward us openly.
Secret service is a test of the heart. It reveals whether we are serving God for applause or out of genuine love for Him. Beloved, men may not notice your midnight prayers for others, your quiet generosity to someone in need, or your faithfulness when no one is watching, but heaven records it.
What do you think about Joseph, who resisted the advances of Potiphar’s wife in secret? No one was there to clap for him, yet God honoured him by lifting him to the throne of Egypt. Or Hannah, who poured out her heart quietly before the Lord; her reward was not only Samuel but a lasting legacy in Israel.
The truth is that, when your service to God is done in secret, your reward will not remain hidden. God Himself will bring it into the open in His own time. So, be encouraged, nothing you do for God in secret is ever wasted.
And now, this month has been marked by God as the time for your open rewards. Those secret prayers, hidden sacrifices, and quiet acts of service will no longer be silent. The same Father who saw them in secret will cause them to shine as testimonies in the open for you.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
I pray that the rewards for your secret service shall be in the open this month, in Jesus name.
