TEXT: “But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, Praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20)
Let me start today by saying that every child of God has a deposit of Power of the Holy Ghost in him or her at salvation. However, the deposited Power at salvation is not enough to command signs and wonders or to live in the miraculous. There is need to walk in a greater dimension of Power to command the miraculous at will. You build yourself into this greater dimension of Power by praying always in the Holy Ghost.
You need to stir up the gift of power that is in you by praying in the Holy Ghost/in other tongues! Praying in other tongues builds us up, it edifies us. It was never meant to be a one-time experience. It is an amazing gift that allows our spirit to interact with God any time any day. Today’s anchor scripture exhorts us to use this gift (Praying in other tongues) to build ourselves up in our faith-walk with God.
Praying in tongues is like recharging your spiritual batteries. Just as a phone or a laptop needs regular charging to stay functional, your spirit needs regular charging through praying in tongues to stay connected and empowered. If you only occasionaly pray in tongues, your spiritual power will drain, causing your faith to weaken. But by consistently praying in tongues, you will keep your spiritual batteries fully charged, enabling you to walk in the fullness of God’s Power and live a vibrant life of faith.
Also, praying in tongues regularly builds up your inner man, which helps you to be bold and courageous. This boldness is the key that unlocks the Power of God within you. The people who experience the miraculous on a constant basis are those who have developed boldness through praying in tongues, which enable them to confront challenges head-on and achieve the impossible. You too can become a bold and fearless champion of faith, ready to take on any obstacle and bring glory to God when you constantly pray in tongues.
I encourage you this morning to make praying in tongues a regular part of your prayer, building yourself up in boldness and courage. As you do, you will be empowered to walk in a higher dimension of God’s Power, confronting the devil and his schemes with confidence and authority. This is a secret to manifesting God’s Power in your life!
