TEXT: “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving” (Col 4:2)
We are in the week of prayer. A period to seek the face of God for the coming year. As we seek the face of God, we must bear in mind that thanksgiving is one of the secrets to enjoy speedy answers to the prayers we pray this season. It is obviously one of the vital secrets of the kingdom because it is a vital requirement to see our prayers answered. The Bible says: “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” (Phil 4:6). This means, until we give thanks, requirements for answered prayers is not complete.
As we are praying this week, remember to give thanks to God for what He has done in the past, by doing so, you are simply reminding Him of what remains. We saw thanksgiving as Jesus’ lifestyle. A number of striking miracles in His ministry was triggered by thanksgiving. For instance, in the miracle of feeding five thousand, we saw how Jesus lifted up the five loaves and two fishes in thanksgiving, which act reminded God of what remained, and we saw how the bread multiplied supernaturally, feeding an estimated number of ten thousand men,women and children, with twelve basket-full fragment as leftover (John 6:6-11).
Also, we saw how Jesus, at the tomb of Lazarus, lifted up His eyes unto heaven and gave thanks, saying, “Father, I thank you for you have heard me. And I know that you hear me always” (Jn 11:41-42). By giving thanks to God for the answered prayers of the past, He reminded the Father of the answer that remains.
Beloved, If you will enjoy answers to your prayers in the remaining days left for this year to roll away, you must consciously give God thanks for every stage of your life this year, thereby reminding Him of the part(s) that remains. This is why Apostle Paul admonished us to give thanks in everything or at every stage (1Thes 5:18).
PRAYER: You will not lose your answers ordained for this season, in Jesus name.

Morning Tea Devotional thanksgiving is 4 days away. We shall be returning with a loud voice of thanksgiving to God whose grace sustained MTD all through 2023. We will thank Him in a dance and with our resources. As we do this, MTD as a mandate and you the partner will not go down in life, destiny and in impact come 2024, in Jesus name.

- Gather your family/friends together early hour of Saturday in your home to give thanks to God for sustaining MTD for these years.
- Thank God for the impact of MTD since inception, especially this year 2023.
- Praise God in a dance for at least 10mins.
