(MTD 14-DAY PRAYER & FASTING – DAY 12)
TEXT: “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10)
Let me start by saying that testimony doesn’t come when we focus on our own needs in prayer alone. The story of Job proves that when we focus on other people’s needs and pray for them, we provoke God to meet our own needs. Don’t be selfish in your prayer. Selfish people believe they have too many needs that they have no time left to pray for others in need. Beloved, the reason some issues persist is that you are too focused on them. Shift your gaze to God and pray for others, and watch them dissipate.
Let me say it again; if you desire a turnaround testimony like Job’s this month, start praying for others, especially those close to you who are facing difficult times. Job prayed for his friends and his captivity turned. Don’t preoccupy your mind with your needs and forget to pray for others. Create time daily to intercede for others, do it genuinely and watch God turn your captivity around like Job. Look around you, and pick people who are going through challenges and stand in the gap for them in prayer today Friday.
However, prayer and fasting is a platform that guarantees supernatural strength. When you fast and pray often, you are strengthened in your inner man to face any battle in life. Prayer and fasting time ought to make a weak Christian to become a strong one. This is the time when you no longer struggle to pray, study the Bible or to worship God. Fasting imparts strength; it builds your spiritual muscles like the eagle that waits once a year to build strength. By the end of this fast, you shall be turned into a spiritual giant in Jesus name!

- Let’s pray for greater impact of Morning Tea Devotional around the globe.
- Let’s pray for salvation of souls via MTD this second half of the year.
- Pray for any other need.
