TEXT: “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchæus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house” (Luke 19:5)
We shall continue on how to position ourselves for God’s visitation this month. The first key I mentioned yesterday is Expectation. To experience God’s visitation, expect it.
- RUN AHEAD: “So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree beside the road, so he could watch from there” (Luke 19:4 – NLT). Zacchaeus knew that Jesus was passing, sought to see Him but could not because he was a short man. However, Zacchaeus did the unusual to command the attention of Jesus who he sought to see. The Bible says: “He ran ahead.” Beloved, there is no barrier or obstacle that can stop you this month except you.
What are your expectations? Are there barriers or limitations? I encourage you to do what Zacchaeus did. He ran ahead. You have to be ahead of the devil to command divine visitation. Zachaeus did not only run ahead, he climbed a tree. The shortest man suddenly became the tallest man. He was so tall that he could command the attention of Jesus.
Dearly beloved, if God will visit you this month, then you need to run ahead of the devil in prayer, fast ahead, give ahead, praise ahead, you need to run ahead of the devil to encounter God. Don’t miss God’s encounters for any reason this month. Pray more than you’ve ever prayed before. Fast as if you have never fasted before. Give as if your life depends on it. You must be smarter than the devil this month.
Do what the devil says you should not do. If he tells you that you shouldn’t give because you don’t have, that’s when you should give. If he tells you not to pray because your are tired, that’s when you should rise up and pray. What He tells you not to do is what you should do.
Zacchaeus did not allow his stature to stop him from seeing Jesus. He was smarter than the devil by climbing up a sycamore tree. For this reason, Jesus visited his home and dined with him. This shall be your testimony this month. Run ahead of the devil.
PRAYER: The way Jesus visited Zachaeus, God shall visit you this month and turn your story around in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
