TEXT: “And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me” (Gen 21:1-2, 6)
I like you to know this morning that God’s visitation always terminates sorrow in any man’s life. This was the case of Abraham and Sarah in today’s anchor scripture. God visited Sarah and that visitation brought an end to sorrow in that family. Bishop David Oyedepo says: “God’s visitation is always ordained for man’s change of position.” The position of Sarah changed from a barren woman to a mother of children by that singular encounter. Beloved, your position will change by divine visitation this month. Your story will change from a begger to a giver, from a barren woman to a mother of nations, from a jobless man to an employer of labour by divine visitation!
However, God’s visitation is always provoked by man’s action. Abraham’s caring nature paved way for his encounters. His caring attitude made him to discover and to constrain the strangers who were just passing by to come to his house to care for them. He did not know that he was provoking his change of story. (Read Gen 18).
Paul and Silas were thrown into prison not because they committed crimes, yet they did not complain, instead they provoked God’s visitation by praise (Acts 16:25-30).
Beloved, for your change of story to become a reality this month, do the things that will provoke the Presence of God. Things like fearful praise as in the case of Paul and Silas, heartfelt worship, caring for people with what God has blessed you with as in the case of Abraham, etc. I perceived that God is going to visit us in an unusual way this month. Your miracle will manifest, in Jesus name!
PRAYER: Welcome to your season of laughter, in Jesus name.
