TEXT: “The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand…” (Deut 28:12)
OPENING PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
I welcome you to MTD Covenant Day of Mercy. By the encounters of today, you shall enjoy the blessings of open heaven this week, in Jesus name.
Let me begin today’s message by saying that an open heaven is the cure for earthly dryness. You can never run dry when operating under an open heaven. When heaven opens, rain comes down. When the heaven over a person becomes closed, they cannot receive God’s rain, and that person will dry up of God’s blessings.
Looking at today’s anchor scripture, we see that when heaven opens over a person, supernatural abundance is the result. God promises in this verse that He will open His good treasure from heaven and cause rain to fall in its season. He will lavish us with supplies enough to lend to nations without borrowing. He will also give rain to our land and bless the works of our hands as a result of open heaven. What a blessing! Rain is a key factor that gives birth to abundance in the land. The outpouring of rain, combined with God’s blessing on our lives, makes supernatural abundance inevitable.
However, there are keys that keep heaven open and prayer has been one of these keys. As simple as it sounds, any time you pray to God in the name of Jesus in faith, the windows of heaven always open for you and rain down whatever you have asked for. Many of our apportion blessings from heaven will not manifest until we get desperate over our situation through persistent prayers.
Read these verses with me:
“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, AND PRAYING, the heaven was opened” and “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. AND HE PRAYED AGAIN, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” (Luke 3:21, James 5:17-18)
There is no more effective way for us to trigger a release from heaven than to pray in the name of Jesus! In these crucial times, with dryness and drought in so many areas, we desperately need rain. It’s God’s desire to send us what we need. So, beloved, let us pray until it rains!
