ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness. And, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds” (Num 17:7-8)

Today is MTD Covenant Day of Mercy, a weekly event where we approach God with our desires for release of answers. Today, God is instructing us again to present a point of contact for our businesses, careers, or ministries. This instruction is drawn from the story of Aaron’s rod that budded in today’s anchor scripture.
During the Israelites’ journey in the wilderness, Korah’s rebellion against Moses and Aaron led to a dramatic turning point. God intervened miraculously, confirming Aaron’s priesthood and Moses’ leadership, and establishing the Levitical priesthood. This powerful intervention showcased God’s active involvement in the lives of His people.
What significance does this event hold, and what relevance does it have to our instruction today?
- Aaron’s budding rod symbolizes Divine Selection. By miraculously causing it to bud, God confirmed His choice of Aaron and his descendants as the rightful priestly lineage. Similarly, as you present your point of contact today, your business, career, or ministry shall be divinely selected, favoured, and flourish, in Jesus name.
- The budding of Aaron’s rod symbolizes Resurrection and Life, demonstrating that God has Power to bring to live what is dead. As you present your point of contact today, life is coming back to that dead career, business, ministry, or any other area that has been stagnant, in Jesus name.
- Aaron’s rod also signifies Preservation, as it was kept in the Ark of the Covenant as a testimony to God’s divine selection. Similarly, as you present your point of contact today, your business, career, ministry, and endeavours shall come under the preservation of the God, in Jesus name.
