TEXT: “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them” (1Sam 2:8)
Say This Prayer: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Let me start by saying that if you will be lifted and remain so, you need God’s favour. When God favours you, men will notice and help you. A good example of this is the story of Mephibosheth in the Bible. Despite all his problems, limitations and hopelessness, God’s favour still found him for lifting.
This story is one of the stories that inspired me in the Bible. Mephiboseth had numerous challenges. He lost his father and relations. He was lame on both legs. He had to be carried from place to place. In other words, he depended on people for survival. He carried a cursed name because Mephiboseth means an idol meant for destruction. He had lost all hope, yet the favour of God found him.
God’s favour has the capacity to lift anyone from obscurity to prominence. Mephibosheth, despite being Jonathan’s son, was struggling and suffering like a begger. But God’s favour took him from poverty in Lodibar to the palace of David.
Beloved, I don’t know where life has kept you. One thing I do know is that, the favour of God is going to transport you to the frontline of destiny, in Jesus name. The same God who took Mephiboseth from the backside of life to the frontline of destiny will do same for you today and onwards, in Jesus name.
You may be behind now but, you are going to the front shortly from now. Your business, career, family is moving to the frontline of destiny from now by divine favour, in Jesus name.
