TEXT: “And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?..” (1Sam 15:22)
OPENING PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Obedience of faith cannot be substituted with anything as far as divine lifting is concerned. Not even forty days of fasting can replace it. One hundred and twenty days of fasting without obedience is merely self-punishment, it cannot lead you up. The above anchor scripture says it all.
Everything that succeeds in life operates on principles. To secure your colourful and axalted position in life, you must embrace scriptural principles. In God’s kingdom, obedience of faith remains a permanent principle that guarantees a colourful lifting.
However, obeying divine instructions is not enough; you must also obey joyfully. Joyful obedience is like a magnet that attracts favour, which in turn brings lifting. Murmuring or grumbling while obeying God’s instructions is considered disobedience. To be obedient to God, you must be a joyful doer, not just a doer, of His Word, whether spoken or written. God speaks to us constantly; we must listen and respond joyfully to get the best out of it.
Have you received instruction from God on any issue of concern to you? Your testimony lies in obeying that instruction. Until you act, you may continue to struggle. Take a giant step of obedience today, because the secret to your lifting is in that instruction.
