ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10)

I have good news for you this morning. The good news is that God is ready to intervene concerning your current situation! But to experience His intervention, you need to understand how to position yourself for it. We have been talking about this, and today, we are going to pick a lesson from the life of Job.
Job’s story is unique. He lost everything in one day because of fear, but then he received twice as much as he had lost, also in one day! But what’s the secret to Job’s supernatural restoration? It was his intercession for his three friends.
The Bible says, “God turned the captivity of Job ‘WHEN’ he prayed for his friends” (Job 42:10). Beloved, how often do you pray for others who are going through similar challenges as you?
Listen to me, it’s time to shift your focus from praying only for yourself, your needs, and your family, and start praying for others, the oppressed, the sick, the prisoners, and the sinners around you. Stop praying with a “me, my, and I” mindset and start concentrating on other people’s needs. When you do, you will be amazed at how God will surprise you with inexplainable and undeniable testimonies.
Abraham’s story is another powerful example of what I’m saying. When he prayed for King Abimelech and his family, God healed them and blessed them with children (Gen 20:17-18). It is not far from the truth that Abraham’s prayer for Abimelech was what led to the miracle of Isaac’s birth!
When we pray for others, we often receive the same blessings we’re praying for. By interceding for others, we become a channel connecting them to God, and in the process, we’re filled with the same blessings. When you pray for others, you will inevitably be touched by the blessings as well. This is the secret that brought Job’s supernatural restoration and opened Sarah’s womb for Isaac to be born.
Beloved, go and do likewise! Start praying for others, and watch how God will intervene suddenly in your life.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: As you practice this, your needs shall be supplied supernaturally, in Jesus name!
