ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many” (Heb12:15 – NIV)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, as I read today’s MTD, let every root of bitterness be uprooted from my heart and unending praise, in Jesus name – Amen.“
We give God all the glory for the success of yesterday’s MTD Covenant Day of Mercy on Google Meet. Your rewards shall manifest speedily, in Jesus name.

Now, to today’s Devotional.
God desires that we praise Him with a sincere and joyful heart, but bitterness can rob us of such praise. It is one of the greatest enemies of praise. Bitterness takes root when we hold on to an offense instead of letting it go, and if left unchecked, it gradually takes over the heart.
A bitter heart struggles to praise God because it focuses more on what people have done than on what God has done. Instead of celebrating God’s goodness, it dwells on hurts and offenses. Bitterness steals joy, destroys peace, and turns praise from a delight into a burden.
God is not asking us to pretend that we were never hurt, but He commands us to forgive. Forgiveness is not approving the wrong or pretending it never happened. It is choosing to release the offender and leaving the matter with God to Judge. When you forgive, you are not only setting the offender free; you are also setting yourself free from the bondage of bitterness.
So, don’t allow anyone to rob you of the blessings that come through praise. Your praise is too valuable to be buried under offense.
Ask God for the grace to forgive today. As bitterness leaves your heart, joy will return and your praise will flow from a sincere heart, attracting the blessings of God.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Receive grace to let go of any offense today, in Jesus name.
