TEXT: “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do ALL his commandments which I command thee this day…” (Deut 28:1)

OPENING PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”

Dear beloved, to experience divine lifting, obedience to God’s instructions is non-negotiable. Before God, there’s no such thing as partial obedience. King Saul’s experience in today’s anchor scripture teaches us that partial obedience is the same as full disobedience before God. Complete obedience to God is a requirement for our continuous promotion.

Walking with God guarantees continuous lifting. You might be challenged on your way up but God promises to lift you above the challenges if you faint not. If you are walking with God, then be prepared to obey Him completely. You can’t decide to obey some instructions, delay on some others.

God entrusted Saul with a clear mission: God said to him: “Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass” (1Sam 15:3). But when Saul got to the point of executing the instructions, he obeyed some, ignored some and outrightly disobeyed some. 1Sam15:9 says: “But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them…”

King Saul ignored and disobeyed some of God’s instructions because he sought to promote his own reputation. This act ultimately led to his rejection, and God chose a replacement for him.

When you obey God partially, you face consequences of disobedience. Make up your mind that from today you will carry out God’s instructions completely and not partially. You will not be rejected or replaced at your point of promotion, in Jesus name.
