TEXT: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt 6:33)
We appreciate God for bringing us to another day. This day shall herald your testimony, in Jesus name.
God wants us to seek and think about His kingdom in virtually everything we do. When you ask God to bless you, is it for the promotion of His kingdom? God always looks at the motives of the heart, He knows whether or not you are thinking primarily about yourself or for the purpose of His kingdom when you ask Him to bless you.
Remember that God blesses you so you can be a blessing to others, and He knows whether or not this principle is rooted in your heart or not. I want you to understand that God gives you all His blessings so you can distribute them in many ways. There are some things you are to pass down to your children and their children after them. Other things you are to distribute to others. God has given you everything you have and everything you are so you can be a blessing to others. That’s the primary reason for the blessing.
When you have the kingdom of God in your heart you can then ask God to bless you with proper motives because you know that you can use those blessings as tools to reach people for God. Once you understand that everything God gives you essentially belongs to someone else, He will start giving you more! Those blessings belong to Him, and He invests them in you so you can bless someone else.
For instance, if God gives you a house full of new furniture or another car, don’t sell the old and don’t call people to ask if they want to buy it. Give away the old and do it to glorify God! Tell them God told you to bless them because He blessed you! This will make you to enjoy abundance of blessings in return.
PRAYER: God will make you an answer to someone’s prayers today, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
