TEXT: “Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit” (Lev 26:4)
I want to begin this morning by saying that Supernatural Increase comes as a result of the outpouring of rain on the earth. In the above scripture God said He will send rain and after the land will yield her increase. So, I will be right to say that increase naturally answers to rain.
When the windows of heaven are open, what comes down is rain. When you are beaten by rain, your whole body gets wet and your environment too. But what comes down as rain is the evaporation from the face of the earth. What goes up is what comes down. Bishop Oyedepo rightly said: “It is evaporation that results to raination.” Something must go up from you before anything comes down to you.
For the windows of heaven to pour out its blessing on you, the store house of heaven must first receive your seed. It’s is a biblical law. Apostle Paul said he had to plant before God can bring the increase. Beloved, it is what you plant that is multiplied back to you.
The biblical examples below validate the fact that your increase is tied to your seed:
- God wanted to bless Abraham with seeds like the sand of the seashore, He demanded for his only son, Isaac (Gen 22).
- God needed to harvest the souls of men to the kingdom, He gave His only Son, Jesus (John 3:16).
- When the widow whose husband died and the two sons were used as collateral for the debt owed by the husband came to Elisha, she was told to pour into the borrowed vessels from the little she had and she was able to sell and have leftovers (2 Kings 4).
- The widow of Zarephath enjoyed increase in the midst of famine because she made cake first for the prophet (1 Kings 17).
- A boy had 12 baskets filled with leftovers after Jesus fed 5,000 men but he first offered his 5 loaves and 2 fishes (John 6). Etc
ACTION STEP:
- Take a seed today and sow it to God’s work or to someone.
PRAYER: I pray for you today that the increase ordained by God for you this month shall not pass you by, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
