BENEFIT OF REDEMPTION

TEXT: “Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever” (Psalm 112:1-3)

One of the benefits of redemption is riches. “Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, AND RICHES, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” (Rev 5:12).

Poverty is not a proof of salvation. That you’re poor is not a sign that you’re saved. Salvation is a cure to poverty. The gospel of Jesusto the sick is healing, to the sinner is salvation, to captive is deliverance, to the poor is riches, etc., it cannot be otherwise. Jesus was made poor that you and I might become rich (2Cor 8:9). The God that we serve is a Rich God; He owns all of the silver and gold of this world (Haggai 2:8). No wonder Jesus boldly declared that He was going to prepare mansions for us and not quarters (John 14:1-2). We belong to a kingdom of riches and wealth.

Riches are not meant only for the people of the world; they are meant more for the people in the church. You are redeemed to inherit riches. That you don’t have it now does not mean it is not your birthright. You are only denied access to riches now because you don’t know what to do to get it.

I want to let you know this morning that riches in the kingdom answer to a covenant practice. It is the Lord that gives you power to get wealth. Why? “That He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers (Deut 8:18-19).

What is this covenant that guarantees access to heavenly riches? It is the covenant of “Seed time and Harvest” (Read Gen 8:20-22). A lifestyle of giving is what entitles one to riches in this kingdom. That you know it is not a guarantee that it is yours automatically. You must commit to playing your part of the covenant. It is your seed that guarantees your bumper harvest.

PRAYER: The Lord shall increase you on every side this month, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Poverty is not a sign of redemption but a sign of ignorance.”
