TEXT: “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” (Psalm 45:7)
It is the favour of God upon a man that puts him above others that are of the same level of qualifications. This favour has the ability to make the last to become the first. It has the ability to reveal the quality that was initially hidden in a man. This favour places one above and not beneath. It makes the job impossible for others until the man of favour arrives. These and more shall be your experience henceforth, in Jesus name.
However, we need to know the access key to this favour as revealed in today’s anchor scripture. The Bible says that Jesus loved righteousness and hated wickedness, therefore, God anointed Him with oil of gladness (favour). Hear me child of God, your love for righteousness guarantees the favour that will put you above your fellows. Saying no to corruption, evil associations, and sinful habits is righteousness in the context of the above text. You can’t associate yourself with evil and wickedness and expect favour from God.
Noah Was the only righteous man in his generation and God favoured him (Gen 6). Can that be said of you in that organisation, community or in your family? Righteousness is to be in tune with God at all times even if others around you are going the other way. Jesus was always in tune with God the Father. No wonder He was anointed with favour. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all others things shall be added unto you by favour and not by your labour.
When you seek God and His righteousness you will see good by His favour. What guarantees the ever flowing favour of God upon your life is your love for righteousness. Chose to be righteous in the midst of unrighteous people. Be known for righteousness where wickedness thrives. When your greatest desire is to affect the kingdom of God, the people around you and to stand for truth and justice which is righteousness, God will pour the oil of favour on you.
PRAYER: Grace for tireless pursuit of righteousness is yours today and always, in Jesus name.

This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
