JULY PROPHETIC FOCUS:
(Praise Works Wonders – Exo 15:11)
Wednesday, 22nd July 2026
By Pst Israel Olorunfemi
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God” (Psalm 42:11)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, strengthen my heart by your Word today, and let my mouth continually declare your praise, in Jesus name – Amen.“
Discouragement is another enemy of praise. It often comes when expectations are delayed or challenges refuse to go away. It quietly whispers that nothing will ever change, causing you to lose confidence in God’s promises.
The Psalmist in today’s anchor scripture also faced discouragement. Instead of giving up, he encouraged himself, saying: “Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him.” He refused to allow his present circumstances to silence his praise because he knew they were temporary. His confidence was not in what he could see, but in the God who never fails.
Many people stop praising God because they focus more on their problems. The more you think about your difficulties, the heavier your heart becomes. But the more you remember God’s goodness the easier it becomes to praise Him.
Beloved, don’t allow your temporary challenges to affect your relationship with God. Your present situation is not the end of your story. Continue to praise Him because He is still at work, even when you cannot see it. Every praise you offer in the midst of discouragement is a declaration of faith that your breakthrough is on the way.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
You’re free from discouragement today, in Jesus name.
