ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8)
SUPPORTING SCRIPTURE:
“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is” (Psalm 63:1)
We established yesterday that the greatest factor that guarantees true and lasting progress is having the Presence of God with you. When God is with you, even if the whole world stands against, they cannot stop your progress. The greatest pursuit of a believer should not be material things, but the abiding Presence of God in their life.
However, there are certain qualities that attract and sustain God’s Presence. Let us examine two of them: Hunger for God and Purity of life.
Hunger for God always attracts His Presence. This means having a deep desire to know Him and grow closer to Him. When a person truly longs for God, they will passionately seek Him through prayer, worship, and studying His Word. This sincere desire shows that the heart values God and wants fellowship with Him. As this hunger grows, you become more aware of God’s voice and leading in your daily life. As a result, God manifests His Presence in your life.
Purity of life also draws God’s Presence. Since God is holy, He takes delight in dwelling with those who live righteous and upright lives. Purity means keeping your heart and actions aligned with God’s will and turning away from sin whenever it appears. When you choose what is right over what is wrong and maintain a clean heart before God, you create an atmosphere where His Presence abides.
In the supporting scripture above, David expressed his deep thirst for God, and in 51:10 he prayed for a clean heart. His hunger for God and his desire for purity helped him maintain a close relationship with God.
Beloved, when you develop a genuine hunger for God and pursue purity in your life, His Presence will continually envelope you and guide your life.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
May your heart continually long for God, and may your life remain a worthy dwelling place for His Presence, in Jesus name.
