ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“…for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you” (Hosea 10:12b)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for your Word all through the month. Speak to me again today, in Jesus name – Amen.“
As we round up our teaching for the month on Abundance of Rain today, it is important to know that flourishing in life is not a result of intelligence, strength, or personal ability, but of the showers of blessing that come from an opened heaven. As long as the heaven over a person remains open, that person will flourish.
We see this in the life of Jesus. When heaven opened and the Holy Spirit came upon Him at the River Jordan, His life began to flourish and His fame spread abroad (Luke 4:14). This confirms the scripture that the righteous shall flourish like the palm tree and grow like the cedar in Lebanon (Psalm 92:12-14).
This shows us that it is the showers from heaven, not human effort, that causes us to flourish.
However, the key is in today’s anchor scripture. It says it is time to seek the Lord.
Seeking God must become a lifestyle, not just something we do in times of need. We must seek Him through righteous living, prayer, His Word, worship, and service. The more we seek Him, the more we enjoy the continuous rain from heaven.
