ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:5-6)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for this new day. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, open my eyes to see what you are saying to me, in Jesus name – Amen.“
Sacrifice is one of the covenant positions that attracts open rewards. It is giving God what costs you something, not what is convenient. Many people are willing to give God what they don’t need, but true sacrifice is when you give Him what you value. David understood this when he said: “I will not offer unto the Lord that which costs me nothing” (2Sam 24:24).
In the Bible, we see men who gave sacrificially and received sworn blessings. For instance, Abraham offered Isaac, the son he loved, and God responded with a generational blessing that still speaks today (Gen 22:16-18). Solomon gave a thousand burnt offerings, and that same night, God visited him and gave him an open cheque that changed his destiny (1Kings 3:4-5). Sacrifice always provokes God to act.
The Psalmist in today’s anchor scripture said those who sow in tears will reap in joy. This means that sacrifice may not be comfortable at the moment, it may even be painful, but the end is always joy and celebration. Nothing you lay down for God is ever wasted. He keeps records, and He rewards openly.
Beloved, I ask you this: “What are you willing to let go for God this month so that He can release His visible blessings upon you?” Your time? Your resources? Your ambitions? Remember, when something leaves your hand to God, something greater leaves His hand to you.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Whatever you lay down for God this season shall return to you in multiplied fold, in Jesus name.
