ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” (Num 23:19 NIV)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, as I read today’s MTD, let your Word come alive in me. Strengthen my faith, silence every doubt, and open my eyes to see the certainty of your promises, in Jesus name – Amen.“
One of the most reassuring truths about God is this: He is not like man. He cannot lie. He doesn’t forget. He doesn’t change His mind or abandon what He has promised. This is the foundation of our confidence in this month of Divine Manifestation. If God said it, He will surely do it.
Consider Abraham. God promised him a child when his body was as good as dead, and Sarah’s womb was closed. Yet the Bible says Abraham did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief. He was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Why? Because he was fully persuaded that God had the power to do what He promised (Rom 4:20-21). And true to His word, God gave them Isaac.
What about Joseph? God gave him a dream of greatness. But everything he went through (betrayal, slavery, false accusations, prison), seemed to contradict that dream. Still, at the appointed time, the God who cannot lie lifted him from the prison to the palace. The vision became reality.
Even in the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, we see the same truth. God spoke through the angel words that were humanly impossible. But every word came to pass. Mary conceived by the Holy Spirit and gave birth to Jesus, the Saviour of the world.
So what am I saying to you today?
God doesn’t speak just to excite you and disappear. He is not emotional or inconsistent like man. His Word is backed by His nature, and His nature is faithful and unchanging. Whatever He has spoken over your life, whether two days ago, last week, last month, last year, or ten years ago, He is committed to fulfill it.
Don’t let delay weaken your faith. Don’t let His silence shake your confidence. He is still working behind the scenes. And in this very month, you will see the manifestation of His promises.
The God who cannot lie will bring visible results into your life, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
I pray that your faith will not fail; the God who cannot lie will come through for you this month, and you will testify, in Jesus name!
