ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“And she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7 – NIV)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, let today’s Morning Tea Devotional speak to me. Help me hear your voice beyond the words. Make room in my heart for you, Lord, in Jesus name – Amen.“
Have you ever shown up somewhere expecting to be welcomed, only to be told there’s no space for you? That’s exactly what happened to Jesus. The King of Glory came into the world, but there was no room for Him in the inn.
The truth is, many of us are still turning Him away today, not intentionally, but by being too full. Full of noise. Full of distractions. Full of schedules. Full of ourselves. There’s no space left for the One who matters most.
Jesus said: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock…” (Rev 3:20). He doesn’t force His way into your. He gently knocks. And if there’s room for Him, He enters.
Today, I want you to pause and ask yourself: Have I truly made room for God in my life? Is my heart too crowded for Him? Is my day so full of activities that I don’t have time to be with Him? Sometimes we say we want more of God, but the reality is, we haven’t cleared out the space for Him to come.
Making room for God may mean waking up a little earlier to pray. It may mean turning off the TV for a while, putting the phone down to study the Word, cutting down some unnecessary conversations, or saying no to some habits so we can say yes to God.
If God comes to you today, would He find space to stay, or would He be placed outside because you haven’t made room for Him? Think about it.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
I pray for you today that every space in your life that has been filled with distractions be cleared for God, in Jesus name.
