ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19)
PERSONAL PRAYER:
“Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
As we bring the subject: “Power to bring forth” to a close today, I will like to point out that Christianity is not a life to be endured; it is a life to be enforced. You were not saved to suffer under the same forces that once oppressed you. You were saved to rise and reign with Christ. Jesus said in John 10:10b, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” That “abundant life” is a life of dominion, not defeat. A life powered by the Holy Spirit that is not limited by the flesh.
But, many believers today live in fear, defeat, and oppression because they do not understand the purpose of the Power that has been given to them.
In today’s anchor scripture, Jesus made it clear that the Power He gives us is not for decoration or religious identity, but for dominion. You were given Power to trample, not to negotiate or to tolerate, but to walk boldly upon every satanic opposition.
WHAT IS THIS POWER FOR?
- To rule over darkness. Power is given to you for you not to be a victim of darkness but a victor over it. Serpents and scorpions represent demonic powers and poisonous influences. Jesus said you have authority over ALL their power. That includes spiritual attacks, witchcraft, curses, demonic oppression, afflictions, etc.
- To enforce kingdom victory. Satan has already been defeated by Christ on the Cross, but unless you rise in Power, he will still attempt to steal, to kill, and to destroy. You don’t beg darkness to leave, you command it with Power.
- To dismantle strongholds. Sickness, failure, stagnation, barrenness, and delay are not always natural. Often, they are fortified by spiritual strongholds. With Power of God at work in you, you can pull them down, destroy their root, and walk in freedom.
This is where we conclude the theme for the month.
PROPHETIC PRAYER:
Power to dominate all the power of darkness and to bring forth your dreams is yours today and always, in Jesus name!
