ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “Since the harbor was unsuitable to winter in, the majority decided that we should sail on, hoping to reach Phoenix and winter there. This was a harbor in Crete, facing both southwest and northwest” (Acts 27:12 NIV)

  • PERSONAL PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”

Yesterday, we discussed one of the common mistakes people often make in life that lands them in trouble. This mistake is that people often take counsel from men more seriously than the instructions from God. The reason could be that those counsels are appealing to human senses. But how wrong are they most of the time?

Other mistakes people make include:

  1. DOING SOMETHING BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE ARE DOING IT. Many people often follow the crowd and do what they do. Today’s anchor scripture says: “The majority decided that they should sail.” Please, understand that the majority can be wrong. Are you doing what you’re doing right now because the majority is doing it? Remember, the majority is not you. We often get into trouble by following the crowd. The children of Israel would have forfeited the Promised Land had they followed the decision of the majority to go back to Egypt. Could this be the reason behind the trouble in your life right now? You are free today, in Jesus name.
  2. WHEN WE ALLOW CIRCUMSTANCES OF LIFE TO LEAD US. Romans 8:14 says: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Verse 13 of today’s text in KJV says: “When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had obtained what they wanted.” They thought it was a nice day to sail. We sometimes feel that if the circumstances are just right, we can go ahead. No, don’t make any move until you know the go-ahead signal is from God; otherwise, you are heading for a storm. That won’t be you, in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER: I decree every storm in your life, be still now, in Jesus name!
