ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1John 4:4)
- PERSONAL PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the power in Your Word that transforms. May the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Let me start by letting you know that there’s a place of rest in God where you can experience peace in the midst of storm. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good comfort; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). If you trust that Jesus is true to this word, then you must understand that your faith is being tested in every trial you’re facing right now. However, your reward is great if you don’t give up.
Just like Prophet Elisha, who was surrounded by the enemy who wanted to kill him, we often face situations that seem insurmountable. But Elisha’s words to his servant was: “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (2Kings 6:16). When Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened, he was amazed to see the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire from God surrounding their enemy.
That is the power of God in action. Even now, there is no battle in your life that is stronger than God’s ability to take you through it. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to help us in our weakness, and the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in our hearts. So, there is nothing that can destroy a child of God. All that we face should be a driving force that brings us closer to God. Troubles of this world don’t define us; they are the necessary tools to mold us into the image of Christ and perfect us in the plan He has for our lives.
PRAYER: The end to that trouble is now, in Jesus name.
