ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: “Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don’t become weary and give up” (Heb 12:3 – NLT)
- PERSONAL PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let your Word through the Morning Tea Devotional today transform my life and destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”
Let me begin by saying that life is a battle ground. It is a battle between light and darkness. The good news however is, the victory has been long decided to favour you. So, when situation gets tough, make up your mind to get tougher! If you stay tough in the midst of tough situations, you will surely be victorious!
Robert H Schuller said: “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!” When John Paul Jones’ ship was sinking, he said most of his crew were slaughtered and his own arm nearly torn off. Then the enemy asked him if he was ready to surrender, but he screamed back, ‘Hell, no! We haven’t even begun to fight yet!’ And he was right! He won the battle at the end.
Maybe you haven’t even begun to fight the devil yet! Maybe you have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin like Jesus did. Even though He died, only three days later He rose in triumph from the tomb! The kind of soldiers who win in battles are the ones who refuse to quit fighting! Don’t give up.
Do not be weary, in due season ye shall reap if you faint not (Gal 6:9). You must be ready to endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, that you may please Him Who hath chosen you to be a soldier (2Tim 2:3). When you fight the good fight of faith, there will be a crown laid up for you! (1Tim 6:12; 2Tim 4:7-8).
I pray that God will help you and me to be faithful to the end! Jesus told John: “Be faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life!” (Rev 2:10).
PROPHETIC PRAYER: The last defeat you suffered is the last ever, in Jesus name.
