TEXT: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Rom 12:1)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for the transformative power of Your Word. Let today’s Morning Tea Devotional transform my life and and shape my destiny, in Jesus name. Amen.”
An act of service refers to a voluntary action or deed that benefits someone else, in this case, the kingdom of God. Serving God is an act of presenting ourselves as living sacrifices to God. It is an act of showing up, and doing something to advance God’s kingdom on earth.
Serving God is this year’s game-changer for MTD Family. This is because there are miracles waiting for us at the place of service. We’ll explore this further as we progress through the month.
Let’s look at the story of Zacharias, a priest who had been waiting on God for a child. His miracle came at the place of service. According to Luke 1:5-14, Zacharias and his wife Elizabeth were righteous before God, but they had no child because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.
While Zacharias was serving as a priest, burning incense before God, an angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.”
Notice that the angel located Zacharias at the place of service. The angels of God are strategic about where they meet people. Zacharias presented himself, and God rewarded him. Beloved, serving God engenders open rewards.
I pray that the same God who located Zacharias and rewarded him at the place of service will locate you at your place of service this month and deliver you from any long-standing issues in Jesus name.

PROPHETIC PRAYER: The God who rewards service will reward you openly this month, in Jesus name.
