DAY 17 (MTD ANNUAL 21 DAYS FAST
TEXT: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Prov 18:21)
- PRAYER: “Father, thank you for your life-changing Word. Transform me by your truth via Morning Tea Devotional today, in Jesus name. Amen.”
Knowing how to fast and pray is not enough; you must also know how to receive answers to your prayers. Many people miss it at this point. You will not miss it again, in Jesus name. Another crucial key to accessing answers to prayer is the tongue.
Jesus said: “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:23).
While you’re praying, God is answering, but the question is, what are you saying? Every word you speak after praying is a seed, and “Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap” (Gal 6:7).
When you pray, believe in your heart that God hears and answers you. When you confess what you believe, you’ll receive your answers. However, no matter how much you pray, if your confession is negative, you cannot reap positive results.
Today’s anchor scripture emphasises that our tongue can either bring life or death, building up or tearing down. An unchecked tongue, like an unchecked fire, can cause devastation.
Jesus further reinforced the importance of faith and positive confession in receiving answers to our prayer by saying, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24). Beloved, don’t let your confession be negative. It can abort answers to your prayers.
PROPHETIC PRAYER: Every negative confession that has hindered your breakthrough hitherto, is nullified now, in Jesus name.

- Father, in the name of Jesus, let everyone called barren in the MTD Family become a joyfulmother of children this year (Psalm 113:9).
- Father, in the name of Jesus, let everyone sick in the MTD Family be made whole by the power of your Word this year (Psalm 107:20).
- Father, in the name of Jesus, let everyone who desires to be married in the MTD Family be supernaturally connected to their marital destiny this year (Gen 24:13-21).
- Now, present your requests to God (Phil 4:6).
DAILY DECLARATION: “This year, 2025, I step into my New Era of Dominion by the Wisdom of God and I commit to serving God faithfully by the help of the Holy Spirit. As a result, my Rewards shall manifest quickly. Amen and amen.”
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Every word you speak after praying is a seed, and whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.”
