PROOFS OF GENUINE LOVE FOR GOD

TEXT: “But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you” (John 5:42)

OPENING PRAYER: “Father, thank you because your Word has the power to transform. As I read today’s Morning Tea Devotional, let your Word penetrate my heart and mind, transforming my life and shaping my destiny, in Jesus name – Amen.”

One of the Christ-like attitudes we must adopt, as emphasized last Friday, is love. It’s your love for God that will set you apart for divine promotion. However, it’s crucial to understand the true meaning of this kind of love. As pointed out last Friday, love means adopting a ‘God-first lifestyle.’

Today, let’s highlight the proofs of this love. You can’t truly love God without experiencing lifting in due season. I said ‘in due season’ because loving God isn’t just about receiving miracles from Him. Rather, it’s the continuous practice of love as a lifestyle that guarantees your lifting.

What are the proofs of our love for God?

1. It’s having a Kingdom Priority Lifestyle. Jesus, in Matt 6:33 said: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and divine lifting will follow (Paraphrased). The meaning is that when we seek first the advancement, promotion and expansion of the Kingdom in righteousness, not faking it, all these things (diving lifting), shall be added unto us. So, when the law of love is fulfilled, the blessings of Deut 28:1-12, which is the true meaning of divine lifting, flows natural into your life.
2. It’s identifying with Jesus. When you are truly in love with God, you will identify with Jesus openly, publicly and everywhere you find yourself. When you’re truly in love with God, sharing the word of God, like Morning Tea Devotional with your loved ones becomes natural thing to do. When you’re truly in love with God, going to your place of work, office, market, etc, with tracts and Bible in order to share with people that come your way becomes daily activity.

This means, love for God goes beyond singing or shouting, it is in acting it. The question now is, are you truly in love with God? If you are, the above proofs will show in your life and then you are ready for the upward shift of your life and destiny.

PRAYER: My prayer is that the Spirit of God will baptise you with genuine love for God that will launch you to your divine lifting in Jesus name.
