TEXT: “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God,…that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth” (Deut 28:1 – NKJV)
Before you start reading today’s MTD, say this prayer: “Father, I acknowledge that Your Word holds the power to transform lives. As I read Your Word today, I ask that it transform my life and shape my destiny. By the Power in your Word, above only shall be my experience all through this month and onwards, in Jesus name. Amen.”
All right! I want us to explore one crucial pillar that will help us live above only, in line with the prophetic focus for this month. Be aware that every promise in scripture comes with responsibilities. To live above only, there is one major requirement outlined in the anchor scripture of the month (Deut 28:13) and today’s anchor scripture. This pillar will be our focus for this week. Please follow closely.
Please be determined to get the best out of what is coming from MTD starting today. You may be familiar with some of the things I will be sharing, but they are God’s divine prescriptions revealed in His Word, designed to change your situations and circumstances and to keep you above only.
Today’s anchor scripture highlights a vital pillar that guarantees our living above only, which is: OBEDIENCE. The Bible clearly states, ‘If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God…, He will set you high above all the nations of the earth’ (Deut 28:1). Obedience to God’s commands is the key that unlocks our authority and make us a commander in the earth. The day you choose to obey God, that is the day you will conquer those challenges.
What is obedience? Obedience is total compliance with God’s instructions. Obedience requires that you act in accordance with God’s commands, even when they seem illogical. Abraham is a perfect example (Gen 12-22). In chapter 12, he left for a land he was unsure of, simply because God instructed him to do so. Which instruction from God have you refused to obey beloved? Remember, delayed obedience is equivalent to disobedience in God’s sight.
However, obedience or disobedience goes beyond human capacity; there is a spirit that drives both. No genuine child of God intentionally sets out to disobey God; rather, a spirit of disobedience influences them. On the other hand, there is a spirit that fosters obedience, and that spirit will come upon you today, in Jesus name. Whenever Satan tempts you to disobey God’s instructions, his goal is to make you miss your blessing.
ACTION STEP:
Today, return to the instruction you refused to obey and follow it. God will not speak further until you take this step.
PRAYER: Grace to obey fearlessly is yours today, in Jesus name.
