The greatest discovery you could ever make in life is to discover who you are. Understanding who you really are is the key to living above only. This is important because it is possible for someone to be born again, Spirit-filled, sanctified, be a Pastor, Evangelist, Bishop, Priest or even a founder of a Church without knowing who he or she really is. Do you really know who you are in Christ? This is a big question you must have an answer to!
One of the major challenges facing the Body of Christ today is that many professing Christians lack a clear understanding of their true identity in Christ. This identity crisis has resulted in a loss of spiritual power, allowing the devil to exploit our ignorance. To truly live above only, you must have a deep understanding of who you are in Christ.
In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus was sound asleep while their ship faced a fierce storm. How could He sleep through the turmoil? He knew the storm couldn’t overpower Him, for He knew He is above all circumstances, including storms. Similarly, dear child of God, you are above every challenging situation: barrenness, miscarriage, disease, failure, fear, premature death, and more. You are above them all.
But the question remains: do you really know who you are? As long as you do, the devil will not be able to put you in panic mode. Knowing who you are is critical to fulfilling your purpose and destiny. In other words, knowing who you are is necessary to fulfill your destiny. Many people are unaware of who they are in Christ, and the devil is taking advantage of their ignorance to afflict and torment them. People have become casualties of life’s challenges because they don’t know who they are or what God says about them in the scripture.
When you know your true identity, you will stand firm and unshakeable, no matter what obstacles or challenges the devil throws your way. As we progress in the month, the Holy Spirit shall open our eyes to see what redemption has made us.
PRAYER: You are living victoriously above all situations and circumstances this month and beyond, in Jesus name.
