TEXT: “And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them” (Deut 28:13)
I warmly welcome you and all MTDians to the month of August 2024. I believe that our encounters with the Word of God in the month of July have brought diverse kinds of blessings from God to each of us. We shall continue to experience the continuous flow of God’s blessings, in the name of Jesus.
What is God saying to us in the Morning Tea Devotional Family this month of August?
I have discovered from the Word of God that as redeemed believers, we are seated in heavenly places, empowered to rule and reign in life. This truth remains unchanged, regardless of any challenging situation we may face. In essence, God has designed and programmed us to confront life’s situations from a position of strength, not weakness.
Many believers today have refused to take charge, instead sitting back and allowing the enemy to molest their lives. Beloved, from this elevated position we have in Christ, we are to be in charge and in control over satanic forces. We can no longer afford to fold our hands; this is the time for us to show the world the way forward. We must lead the way for others to follow. God is calling us up to a level where the storms of life and challenges will be subject to our command. God is calling us to come up higher and take our rightful place above.
In view of these, the month of August 2024, in the Morning Tea Devotional Family, is our month of: “I AM REDEEMED TO BE ABOVE ONLY” (Deut 28:13).
As you go through this month of August, remember and be assured that, despite any challenging circumstances, the Lord has positioned you as the head and not the tail. You are destined to be above, not beneath, because Christ has fulfilled the law on your behalf. Walk in joy and confidence, knowing that your victory is secure. Expect powerful encounters with God’s Word that will solidify your position above all situations in Jesus name.
