WHEN GOD PUTS HIS FAVOUR ON YOU

TEXT: “And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand” (Gen 39:4)

I want to start by saying that when God puts His favour on you, men will be compelled to shower you with favour.

Todays anchor scripture says that Joseph found grace in the sight of Portipher his master. The grace mentioned here means “undeserved favour.” It is undeserved because there was no physical input from him that warranted this favour. He did not play down on anyone either to gain it. God’s Presence just settled on his life and this magneted the favour from his master. This shall be your experience from now on, in Jesus name.

Today a lot of people are looking for favour from man and they go about lobbying, engaging in eye-service and carrying out a lot of sinful acts. You don’t need to bribe, lie, kill, tarnish somebody’s reputation or sleep with your boss in order to gain favour, no. Whatever “favour” you get by sinning you will have to continue in that sin to keep it. What profit is it to gain the whole world and lose your soul in hell? It takes God’s favour to win man’s favour.

For instance, Samuel was in favour with God and man (1Sam 2:26). Jesus was in favour with God and man (Lk 2:52). The Apostles were in favour with all the people because they were in favour with God (Acts 2:47). When you are in favour with God, men will be compelled to favour you.

Also, when God’s favour is on you, you will be like a ball in a pool of water. No matter the situation that tries to press you down, you will always find yourself on top. Press a ball into a pull of water and leave it, it finds its way up. That is what happens to a man who carries God’s favour in the midst of pressure and resistances. Joseph was always on top of every negative situation that he encountered because he carried God’s favour. It is your turn!

PRAYER: You are coming out of that situation by favour. It will not swallow you up, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Whatever “favour” you get by sinning you will have to continue in that sin to keep it.”
