FACTOR THAT ATTRACTS FAVOUR – Pt 5

TEXT: “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:47)

Let me start today by reminding you that favour is our birthright as children of God (Read Ps 5:12). If you are born again, then you are a child of God and as a child of God, you’re entitled to divine favour.

Again, what is favour? Favour is an act of kindness beyond what is due. This is the kind of favour that Ruth enjoyed (Ruth 2:15-16). When the favour of God is upon a man, God will cause that man to enjoy addition of good things beyond his qualifications, skill or connections. This kind of good things do not come by labour but by favour. You shall enjoy same this month and onwards, in Jesus name.

However, favour is to be entreated. The meaning is, there are actions and lifestyle required of us to enjoy the favour of God continuously. We have been examining these since last week Tuesday. We have another action that attracts favour that I must not fail to mention, which is:

  1. PRAISE: Today’s anchor scripture is the story of the early Church. They were praising God and as a result of that they were having favour with all the people. If you want to enjoy uncommon favour with God and men, be addicted to the praise of God no matter what you go through in life. It is your addiction to praising God that will deliver addition of good things to you by favour. The disciples enjoyed God’s favour because they were praise lovers. Are you a praise lover or a complain lover? They were addicted to praising God and God was adding good things to them daily.

Dear child of God, I encourage you this morning to keep on praising God even if you don’t see any reason to do so and God will decorate you with uncommon favour continually.

PRAYER: I pray for you today that every affliction you have suffered in time past shall be converted into addition of favour this month, in Jesus name.

DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Addiction to praising God delivers addition of good things.”
