TEXT: “..neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel” (2Sam 24:24-25)
Today’s is the last Hour of Mercy for the month of April 2024 in the MTD Family. It is a platform ordained by God to turn issues of concern in our lives into testimonies by His mercy. God has been faithful. This last edition will cause your own testimony to manifest, in Jesus name.
Sometime last week, the Holy Ghost said to me through His servant, Dr Mrs Bekky Enenche that “Sometimes, to prevail over circumstances of life, you need to give out something. You must give God a sacrifice that costs you.” And the Holy Ghost said: “This is what many MTDians need to do to advance in the midst of adversity this year 2024 and beyond.” And He reminded me of MTD Hour of Mercy of 18th March 2024. Why bringing it up again, I asked? He said, many MTDians disobeyed that instruction. Yes, you have prayed and have fasted, what you need to do to break the back of the devil off your life is a sacrifice. By this secret, every situation that is a long continuance in your life shall be terminated this week, in Jesus name.
A good example is when pestilence from God was all over the land of Israel. People kept dying as a result of this plague. There was urgent need for the mercy of God to stop the plague. David didn’t go into prayer and fasting closet, David offered a sacrifice to God. It was a costly sacrifice that stopped the plague.
A true sacrifice to God is done in tears and in pain but, the person engaging in it reaps in joy and bountifully. The returns are always fearful because they are beyond what can be explained by the human mind. The Bible says: “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Ps 126:5-6).
Now, what is sacrifice? Sacrifice is giving out things that are precious and valuable to you. Sacrifice talks about the cost and not the volume, the quality and not the quantity of what you are giving. It is parting away with your goods with weeping. Yes, the process could be painful but, it is gainful at the end.
As you put this to work today/this week, every curse shall be reversed and plague terminated, in Jesus name. Noah offered sacrifice to God after the flood. The Bible says: “And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake… (Gen 8:20). Every curse working against you hitherto is terminated today, in Jesus name.
Whenever things look tight for you is the best time to rear an altar of sacrifice. The widow of Zarephath sacrificed the only handful of flour and the little oil she had for her son and herself to eat and die because of the famine in the land, and God gave her food to eat till the famine was over. She experienced supernatural turnaround through her sacrifice. It is your turn for supernatural turnaround.
ACTION STEP:
You have prayed, it is time to act. Give out something to God and to the cause of His work today/this week. Look for someone who needs that thing that is so dear to you and sow it to him/her today/this week and watch God turn your life around.
PRAYER: You will advance in adversity this year, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Sacrifice is parting away with your goods with weeping.”
