TEXT: “And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness…” (2Chro 20:21)
Today is MTD Hour of Mercy, a time we believe God for His visitation that will turn issues of concern in our life to testimonies. Indeed, God has been faithful. He will visit you today with your own testimonies, in Jesus name.
Are you experiencing battles in life that seem to overwhelm you and you don’t even know what else to do right now? You have done what you know to do all to no avail. It seems like you have come to the end of the road. I have good news for you today, the end of that battle is now. The nation of Judah was besieged by three other nations and they too didn’t know what to do (2Chro 20:12). The king consulted with the people and came out with a solution. What they did is what the Spirit of God is saying to every MTDian to do today.
“And he (the Prophet) said, Hearken ye, all Judah…Thus saith the LORD…Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you…tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you…And when he (Jehoshaphat) had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness…” (2Chro 20:15-17,21).
Praise is what they engaged that brought victory in that battle. Praise is a medium through which God takes over our battles. When the battle looks stronger than your capacity, pass it over to the Wonder-working-God via praise who will in turn deal with it. Praise is not feeling good; it is stirring God into action.
Have you tried your best and things are not working the way you anticipated? God is taking over the battle now! Whatever force that is arrayed against you; you shall overcome as you engage in high praise to God today! For God to do the unusual in your life, praise Him. In the midst of your praise, God will make you to ride upon your high places in Jesus name.
ACTION STEP:
Engage in high and hearty praise to God for at least 30mins today (Choose your convenient time). Write out what the challenges are, place the paper on the floor and give God a dance!
PRAYER: Before the week is over, these challenges shall turn to you as testimonies, in Jesus name!
DAILY CONFESSION:
This year 2024, I am advancing in adversity because I’ve been redeemed to flourish in hard times therefore my life shall be full of wonders. Amen and amen.
