TEXT: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1John 3:8)
Compliment of the season to you and to all lovers of Morning Tea Devotional worldwide. I am not sent this morning to argue about the date in which Jesus Christ our Saviour was born. The date is not the focus of my message today but the significance of His birth. One thing that a season like this should mean to all of us is that through Jesus Christ we gain the ultimate victory. Jesus was born more than 2,000 years ago to end Satan’s rule over mankind. This means, Christmas story doesn’t start in the town of Bethlehem. It began in the book of Genesis.
After God created Adam, He placed him in the Garden of Eden where He walked and talked with him every day. God brought every animal and bird to Adam to see what he would call them (Gen 2:19). And He gave Adam dominion over every creature (Gen 1:28).
However, Satan deceived Eve, and Adam sinned. The two became separated from their loving Father – God. Satan thought he had won a victory. He thought that mankind would never be able to connect with God again.
But one night, Jesus was born in Bethlehem and laid in a manger. He lived a sinless life and was crucified and nailed to a cross on Calvary’s hill. Today’s anchor scripture says: “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” So, through His birth, His death, and His resurrection, Jesus ended Satan’s rule over mankind. Hallelujah!
The beauty of Christmas therefore is that the only reason Jesus became the Babe of Bethlehem was for you and me. He made a way for us not only to commune once again with God but also to experience victory over all of life’s circumstances. This is the ultimate reason for this season!

PRAYER: The victory that the birth of Christ brought shall manifest in your life today and always, in Jesus name.

Morning Tea Devotional thanksgiving is 5 days away. We shall be returning with a loud voice of thanksgiving to God whose grace sustained MTD all through 2023. We will thank Him in a dance and with our resources. As we do this, MTD as a mandate and you the partner will not go down in life, destiny and in impact come 2024, in Jesus name.

- Thank God for the impact of MTD since inception, especially this year 2023.
