TEXT: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2)

I want us to examine one important key that sustains the Presence of God in our life. Abstinence from sin is one key that keeps the Presence of God tangible, feelable and palpable in one’s life. Sin is a killer and a destroyer. It kills our relationship with God and hinders the flow of His blessing into our life. Sin is a direct or indirect rebellion against God. You can’t rebel against God and expect Him to continue to bless you. Apostle Paul said: “Can we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid” (Rom 6:1-2).

Beloved, for the tangible Presence of God to remain in your life, holiness is a must. The Bible says: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Heb 12:14). For the Presence of God to remain with you and in you, flee all appearances of evil, determine in your heart to be faithful and loyal to God and his word.

For: “Surely, the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2).

Don’t allow opportunities, success and the desire to prosper give you ungodly friends that will lead you away from God. If you forsake God’s ways and laws, He will forsake you – God forbid. Don’t ever abandon your relationship with God no matter the challenges you face or how busy you are. You can never be busier than King David, Abraham or Joseph who served God faithfully in Bible days. You don’t have any excuse.

To you who forsake God the moment He gives you what you asked for, don’t allow God to forsake you. You know how long it took before your prayer for that breakthrough was answered. You know how long it took for your prayer for that new job, promotion, a business of your own, marital settlement or children, was answered. Don’t throw it away now. Be faithful and loyal to God. Many have lost what God gave them because they did not give attention to pleasing God with their lives. Don’t close your own heaven. Don’t close the door that God has opened!

PRAYER: From today, you’re free from any lifestyle of iniquity, in Jesus name
