TEXT: “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father” (Gal 4:1-2)
I want to make this clear to you this morning that God is the One who determines the time and the season of our visitation. He determines how long we wait in His waiting room. He determines the times of our testimony. In as much as we are expecting our miracle this month, we must also bear in mind that God appoints the times and the seasons the miracle will happen. He promised that Abraham would have a seed, Abraham waited for God to determine the appointed time the seed would come. It took twenty-five years for God’s appointed time to manifest.
Jacob had to wait fourteen years to marry Rachel because God determines the times, not man. Joseph languished in prison for more than two years for a crime he did not commit because God determines the times in which we languish and wait in His waiting room. Moses spent forty years on the backside of the desert, why? God determines the times. Jesus was in the grave three days and three nights and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights because God determines the times. The miracle is not that the fish swallowed Jonah, the miracle is that while he was in the fish for those three days and three nights he was not allowed to see decay. The grave did not overcome him.
This is an important encouragement to us this morning. If you are reading today’s MTD, maybe you’re down at the moment, but however long God sends you down like Jonah, God will not let you go out. He will not allow you to be swallowed up by death. Like Jesus and Jonah, He will not allow you to be consumed by the grave. Each of us has an appointed time with God. Your own appointed time will manifest this month, in Jesus name.
PRAYER: You will never miss your timing with God for your change of story, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
