TEXT: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” (Rom 4:20-21)
There are factors that can help to boost our patience while waiting on God to fulfil His promises in our lives. The factors I’m about to point out this morning will help you to put up a right attitude while waiting for God to answer you concerning any concern in your life.
First of all, let me define Attitude. Attitude means: “A predisposition or a tendency to respond positively or negatively towards a certain idea, object or situation.” This means that attitude could either be positive or negative in every situation one finds himself or herself. What are the factors that can help you and I to always be positive in every situation?
- HOPE (Heb 11:1)
Hope is one of the antidote to negative attitude that emanates from waiting on God. In whatever situation you find yourself, always be hopeful. Don’t allow the devil to steal your hope no matter what happens. Faith is one of the virtues that command the attention of God and to have all needs met but, faith is impotent without your hope coming alive. This is because faith is the substance of things hoped for (Heb 11:1). What is hope? Hope is the strong expectation you have over the things you desire. If your expectation is strong enough, it will help you to be positive all the time. - DON’T TRADE BLAME (James 5:8-9)
The Bible says “Be patient, stablish your heart…grudge not one against another lest ye be condemned” (Jam 5:8-9). You need to accept the responsibility for your present situation and not to blame it on anyone else or anything else. Believe that God wants to use every unpleasant situation as a means to launch you to a higher ground. Believe that God is working things out for your good even if you’re unfairly treated or persecuted instead of blaming your predicament on someone else (Rom 8:28). Blaming your present situation on someone else only makes you to live in bitterness and bitterness only delays the arrival of your miracle – ask Hannah in the Bible (Read 1Sam 1).
PRAYER: Your long awaited desire will manifest before this month is over, in Jesus name.
DAILY CONFESSION: This year 2023, I am finally on a Covenant Highway, Jesus is giving me Answers and I am enjoying Rest Round About – Amen and Amen!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: “Patience is your ability to put up the right attitude while waiting.”
